I am secretary of RSCDS Carlisle and Border Branch. I realise this is rather late notice, but I am wondering if anyone in your branch would be interested in our Advanced Workshop on Saturday 1st February.
It is at Longtown community Centre, which is north of Carlisle on the A7, so quite easy to get to from Melrose and Galashiels. Registration and a cuppa at 12:30, with the first class starting at 1pm. We will serve hot drinks and biscuits, but please bring any other food you might want.
Our Teacher is Fiona Mackie and the musician Martiann Skene. If people are interested there is further information at the following link on our website

This includes an application form that gives more information about the event and about whom the classes are aimed at i.e. Advanced Dancers, and how to book. If a dancer makes a late decision to join us they will be welcome, but it would be nice to know in advance. It is obviously not suitable for beginners or new dancers.
